Decom Mission Award Winners Announced

The winners of the annual Decom Mission Awards, sponsored by AquaTerra Group were announced last week at a ceremony which rounded off this year’s Decom Week.

The Awards, which were established by Decom Mission to champion success across various areas in decommissioning, focused on Sustainability, Innovation and the Emerging Professionals who excel in the industry. The long-standing category of “Decom Mission Member” acknowledges outstanding achievement from within the organisation’s international membership.

𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: NEBA Analytics LLC is recognised for its work to increase the adoption of Net Environment Benefit Analysis in offshore decommissioning, working with various industry bodies and regulators around the world to maximise ecosystem service benefits while managing site risks and costs considering environmental, social, health & safety, and economic criteria.

𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: Currently the Decommissioning Manager for ABLE  25 year old Luke Donnelley has been recognised for his outstanding performance and commitment to major decommissions projects over the past seven years, including his involvement with the prestigious Shell Brent Decommissioning Project.

𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: A sustainable, circular supply chain for decommissioned wind turbines in Scotland moved one step closer in 2024, thanks to the opening of EMR’s new Wind Turbine Processing Centre in Glasgow – a state-of-the-art decommissioning hub for renewable power assets. By providing an at-scale, sustainable way to process decommissioned wind turbines, EMR is enabling asset owners to speed up the transition, bringing the UK closer to its net zero targets.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝:  Over the past year, Subsea7 has made significant strides in decommissioning, showcasing its commitment to innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Successful decommissioning projects for global operator clients demonstrate Subsea7’s ability to deliver tailored solutions worldwide.
